Why I Founded WellHealthe
I founded WellHealthe because I believe healthcare should be personal.
Throughout my career as a physician assistant, I’ve seen how healthcare has become increasingly focused on treating symptoms, managing medications, and moving quickly from one appointment to the next. While these are important parts of medicine, I believe something essential is often missing: the relationship between the patient and their healthcare provider.
My vision for WellHealthe is to bring back a more traditional, personalized approach to medicine. I often think about the days when the family doctor arrived at your doorstep carrying a black medical bag, knew you by name, understood your family, and was someone you trusted with your health. That’s the kind of relationship I want to build with my patients.
I want WellHealthe to be a true medical home—a place where patients feel comfortable seeking care for an unexpected illness, managing a chronic condition, or simply having a conversation about how to improve their health.
I’m also passionate about looking beyond symptoms to understand the underlying factors contributing to chronic disease. Through lifestyle medicine, preventive care, and patient education, I want to help people understand how their daily choices can influence their health and empower them to make meaningful, lasting changes.
Having called the Coachella Valley home for 40 years, this mission is especially personal to me. I want to help build a healthier community by providing the kind of thoughtful, relationship-based healthcare I believe every patient deserves.
WellHealthe is my vision of what primary care can be: personal, accessible, preventive, and built on a relationship that lasts.
